Professional Dairy Spill Removal Process
Glitz Detailing uses a multi-step remediation process including:
- Inspection: We inspect all areas where the spill has gone
- Plan: We devise the most effective and efficient plan to resolve the spill
- Quote: We communicate with the customer the extent of the spill, our plan for remediation and indicative costs
- Apply Product: We use products which align with breaking down the specific kind of contamination, for a dairy spill, we typically use a a bioenzymatic cleaner followed by dwell time to let the enzymes work on the proteins
- Steam Clean and extract and repeat: Our Vacuum Steam Machine steams to product further into the material whilst the vacuum is extracting it and the bi-products of what it has broken down products which align with breaking down the specific kind of contamination, for a dairy spill, we typically use a a bioenzymatic cleaner
- Deep Steam Cleaning for deeper penetration: Once the bulk of the contamination has been removed, we use a micro-fibre head on the Vacuum Steam Machine for a hotter, deeper penetrating steam
- Ozone treatment: We'll then suggest using the Ozone Machine to run in the car killing the odour creating bacteria providing the car with a fresh odour-free smell

Steam Vacuum Extraction Helps Prevent Deeper Contamination
One of the major differences between Glitz Detailing and many standard detailers is the use of proper extraction steam machine.
Some operators use basic steam machines that apply steam alone, which can risk pushing contamination deeper into upholstery and carpet fibres if not extracted correctly. As it is a combined vacuum steam machine, it is able to agitate and lift contamination while simultaneously vacuum extracting the material from the surface.
This provides a significantly safer and more effective approach for handling contamination like vomit or other spillages inside vehicles.
