Mobile cleaning & Detailing services process
Glitz Detailing provides a fully Mobile Detailing Studio at the customer’s home, workplace or other suitable location across Sydney.
- The Customer provides the address #Working Environment considerations: We require the customer to provide an address where our trailer can be within 25 metres of a tap and power. We also need the location to accommodate the height of our trailer which is 2.3 metres high. If there is a height restriction we may need to work on the driveway or street. We require the customer to provide an adequately lit environment to ensure we can see both the exterior and interior clearly to ensure we can deliver the best outcome and ensure no additional callout fees are incurred
- Glitz and the customer decides on a mutually beneficial day and time #Scheduling: We decide on a mutually beneficial time for us to attend site. We will always try to be on time but due to circumstances outside of our control, we might be slightly early or late. Some factors which influence our tardiness include but are not limited to the condition of previous cars, traffic etc.
- Vehicle inspection #Inspection: The vehicle is inspected on arrival to assess its condition, identify problem areas and confirm the appropriate detailing process. We also use this process to determine likely additional charges to be agreed by the customer, expected outcome given the condition of the vehicle and the service purchased by the customer.
- Mobile detailing equipment is set up #Setup: Professional detailing equipment, hoses, extension leads, cleaning products and the vehicle to be worked on is put in a suitable location within 20 metres of our detailing studio with adequate clearance for us to work. Adequate clearance is normally about the width of the door in the open position plus another 50 centimetres as this allows us to pressure wash safely and for us to move our equipment around the car. We also prefer a level, even surface to work on to mitigate the risk of damage occurring to the vehicle such as equipment falling onto the vehicle. We take utmost care for your vehicle, however the customer wears the risk of damage occurring to their vehicle from our equipment causing damage to the vehicle.
- Tools and equipment employed #Equipment Used: our trained technicians will use the appropriate tools and equipment for the service being performed. If we're cleaning or detailing a car, boat, caravan or truck, we will use our Petrol Pressure Washer which is powerful and noisy, it has a 25 metre long, steel braided hose which allows our technicians to work on the car 20 metres from the trailer without moving our trailer or pressure washer. The trailer requires clearance of approximately 1.5 metre clearance on the sides to allow us to open the wing doors to access the pressure washer. When we're using the Vacuum Steam Machine, it is on caster wheels which roll and can roll or topple over which is why we ask the customer to provide a level surface to work on.
- Exterior and interior detailing or cleaning is completed #Work Performed: The vehicle is cleaned and or detailed using the processes and equipment appropriate to the selected service and the condition of the vehicle.
- Products used #Products: Where possible, we try to use environmentally friendly products such as our snow foam and exterior shampoo. We do have to use less-friendly products such as wheel cleaner and de-ironiser (Deironise Service) which we try to keep of nearby plants but environmental factors such as wind may blow the products onto nearby plants.
- Specialist treatments are performed where required #Additional Services – Additional services such as paint decontamination, machine polishing, stain removal, mould treatment, dog hair removal or ceramic and graphene coatings may be completed when included in the booking.
- Final inspection #Final Inspection The vehicle is checked after detailing to ensure the agreed work has been completed and any remaining issues are identified before sign-off. If the customer required additional effort to be put into the service, our technician will advise of any additional costs
Customers provide access to a suitable water supply and electricity. Glitz Detailing supplies the professional equipment, chemicals, hoses, leads and filtered water required to perform the detailing service.
